Pieces-of-Eight
A special limited quantity of Windjammer Weekend Pieces-of-Eight will be available for purchase at the booth on 29, 30, and 31 August 2008. Offered in bronze or sterling silver, these unique coins are the result of a collaboration by two Camden-area jewelers (designed and polished by Elizabeth Allen; cast and manufactured by Russel Spera).

I recall being struck by the natural beauty of the Midcoast, and I was pleased by how such wholesome entertainment and enthusiasm for the sea could still draw a crowd. Windjammer Weekend and Midcoast Maine left enough of an impression on me that when I made a decision to leave Massachusetts, the Maine coast was one of a handful of places that investigated as my potential future home. I moved here, and I remain eternally grateful for my friend's persistence; if it weren't for her Windjammer Weekend invitation, I might not be here now."
